This Privacy Policy explains how ANSA Nexus Ventures ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use www.aftercloselab.com (the "Service"). We keep this simple, because our data practices are simple: we collect what's needed to run the Service, and nothing is sold to anyone.
1. Information we collect
- Google Sign-In data: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account. We use this solely to create and secure your account and to identify you in the app.
- Usage data: the questions you ask, strategies you describe, backtests you run, and saved items — so the Service can show you your history, journal and library.
- Payment data: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive the payment status, amount and a reference ID. We never see or store your card number, CVV or UPI PIN.
- Technical data: standard logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security, debugging and abuse prevention.
2. Google user data — Limited Use disclosure
AfterCloseLab's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only use Google user data (name, email, profile picture) to provide sign-in and account features within the Service.
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with law, or as part of a merger/acquisition with equivalent protections.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
- Humans do not read this data except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or when aggregated and anonymised.
3. How we use your information
- To operate the Service: run your queries and backtests, maintain your library, journal and credit balance.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To provide support and respond to your requests.
- To send essential service communications (receipts, important changes). Marketing emails, if any, will always include an unsubscribe link.
- To improve the Service using aggregated, de-identified usage patterns.
4. What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your questions, strategies or backtest results with other users or third parties. Your research is yours.
- We do not use your Google data for anything beyond running your account.

6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for session management (keeping you signed in) and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
7. Data retention & deletion
We retain your account data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@aftercloselab.com from your registered email; we will complete deletion within 30 days, except for records we must retain by law (e.g. payment/tax records).
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry-standard practices and will notify affected users of any breach as required by law.
9. Your rights
Under applicable Indian law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent. Write to support@aftercloselab.com — subject "Privacy request".
10. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes
We'll post any changes to this policy here and update the date above. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
